The Season of Giving
The holidays are inching closer, and while many of us have friends and family to spend this time with, there are those that aren’t as lucky. It’s easy to go out and by gifts for those that don’t have anything but giving back is much more gratifying. This year, let’s step out of our comfort zone and volunteer!
There’s no better feeling than helping others, let’s explore the many ways we can give back this holiday season:
Mental health issues are at an all-time high among millennials, and it’s only getting worse. Millennials are considered the “anxious generation” and more than 8 million suffer from this disease.
Tangible Movements is a non-profit corporation that helps inspire, educate, and provide support for young adults who are struggling mentally. Sometimes we lose sight of the importance of support and how every bit of it can save a life.
Check out their website and see what ways you can give back this holiday season, we all can make a difference.
It’s a great time of the year to help young children that are chronically ill! CoachArt offers free art and athletic lessons to children between the ages of 5-18, as well as scholarships and team building.
CoachArt also offers tickets to special events around the LA area such as Dodger games, local museums, and much more.

This wonderful charity started out as a spontaneous adventure in January of 1988. Two friends began by driving around on a Friday night giving food to the poor.
Since then, they have grown tremendously. My Friend’s Place offers services to nearly half of the homeless youth population in Los Angeles County. This past year they have served more than 1,400 individuals at their center in Hollywood.
My Friend’s Place provides therapeutic, health, and education services through three programs. Check out their Service Model to see how you can help better someone’s life during this amazing time of the year!
If you could inspire and enable young people to help them reach their full potential, would you? During this holiday season, take advantage of this opportunity to make a difference with the Boys & Girls Club of Santa Monica!
The Boys & Girls Club strives to keep children on the right path by offering youth development strategies, good character & citizenship goals, healthy lifestyle tips, and academic guidance in order to help maximize growth.
